About the writer
Lucy Birmingham Fujii has been a resident of Japan for 25-years who hails from the U.S. near Boston, Massachusetts. After arriving in Japan she worked as a photojournalist for about 10 years and then turned to writing. She is presently a contributing writer for NHK Japan Broadcasting Corporation and a freelance writer and photographer for art publications.
